Shock has greeted the death of a 45-year-old man well-known in north Pembrokeshire farming circles and a former player with Crymych Rugby Club who died while holidaying in Bulgaria.
Sion Jenkins of Cilgerran, who worked the Nantyclyn sheep farm at Brynberian for many years, died in hospital on Wednesday but although there were no suspicious circumstances involved, the cause of death had not been disclosed at the time of going to press.
Father of four Mr Jenkins was a more than useful left winger with Crymych in the 1990’s and after hanging up his boots coached youngsters at the club.
A club spokesperson said “Everyone at the club was saddened to hear of Sion’s death and our thoughts at this time are with his family.”
