HUTS has been shortlisted for the Lloyds Bank Community Fund.
By encouraging the public to vote, HUTS has a chance to be awarded a grant of up to £3,000.
HUTS (Help Us To Survive) is a small independent charity situated in Newcastle Emlyn and offers a variety of learning opportunities to support adults with mental health and learning disabilities.
Through support and social interaction, members are given space in a nurturing environment to gain confidence and develop skills to assist them in the wider community. Currently serving Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and North Pembrokeshire, HUTS offers opportunities for people to explore their creativity through artistic expression – such as rug making, pottery, jewellery design, candle making, woodwork, IT, cooking, arts and crafts and anything in between!
To win the Community Fund will make a massive difference to the organisation, enabling it to continue its work within the local community. HUTS currently works with 81 ‘members’ throughout the three counties over 5 days per week.
