A pupil from Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn has won third prize for his Design and Technology GCSE project. Daniel Thomas, from Hermon, invented an audible warning lamp, getting the idea from his work as a volunteer with Gwili Railway. He was presented with his prize at a ceremony in Cardiff by first minister Carwyn Jones.
