Cardigan Town and Rural wards now have new police officers as part of their Neighbourhood Policing Teams. PC Diana Boyt has joined the Cardigan Town team and PC Diane Williams has joined the Cardigan Rural Team, both will work alongside current officers to tackle community issues.

PC Diana Boyt joined Gwent Police in 2007 where she worked in both beat and neighbourhood policing roles. In 2012 she transferred to Dyfed Powys Police and was stationed in Cardigan as a beat officer. Diana says “I have enjoyed my time as a beat officer in Cardigan and now look forward to working closely with the local community to deal with any issues affecting them.”

PC Diane Williams was brought up in Pembrokeshire and joined West Yorkshire Police in 1989, policing Wakefield Division. In 2002 she transferred ‘home’ to Dyfed-Powys Police where she has been stationed at Newcastle Emlyn both as a beat officer and Neighbourhood Policing Constable, and since 2011 in Fishguard as a beat officer. Diane says “I am looking forward to taking on the role of Neighbourhood Constable for Cardigan Rural Section.”
