A man serving a prison sentence for sex offences has been jailed again after more offending came to light.

Luke Anthony Beveridge, aged 21, is part way through a sentence of three years and four months imposed in May, 2013, for having sexual intercourse with two 13 year old girls when he was 18.

Swansea crown court heard today that he was due to be released in January after serving half of the sentence in custody.

But that date will now be put back after he was jailed for an additional six months.

Huw Rees, prosecuting, said while Beveridge was being sentenced last year another teenage girl was struggling to make an official complaint about him.

Beveridge had met her "by arrangement" and driven her to Finch Square, Cardigan. He parked the car, and leaned into the back seat to kiss her several times, despite her protests.

He then put his hand down her trousers and her knickers and touched her intimately, even though "she told him to stop."

Mr Rees said Beveridge stopped on learning that a friend was approaching the car.

By July, 2013, by which time Beveridge was in jail, she was receiving abusive telephone text messages and suffering abuse on social media. She told her father what had happened and the police were called in.

Beveridge was arrested while in jail and at first claimed she had never been inside his car.

Beveridge was due to stand trial today accused of sexual activity with a child, because he had denied the charge, but at the last moment changed his plea to guilty.

Ian Wright, representing Beveridge, said since both sets of offences he had benefited from completing several courses while in jail.

The judge, Mr Recorder Ian Murphy, said he had to have regard to the sentence Beveridge would have received in May, 2013, if all the offending had been dealt with at the same time.

He jailed Beveridge for six months, to be added to the 40 month sentence.

He told him, "You hardly knew her. Without any encourgement from her you took advantage. She made it obvious that she did not want a sexual relationship."

The court heard that Beveridge was already on the sex offenders register.
