Small World Theatre is putting together a night of celebration in honour of Cardigans fishing industry on Friday, May, 29.

The night will begin at 6pm where there will be a BBQ with locally caught fish and a presentation on the fish market in Cardigan.

The presentation will be given by 4CG and the Small World Theatre will be screening a short film put together by Cardigan Primary School afterwards.

After the food and presentation Fernhill folk band will be performing at the Small Theatre from 8pm.

The band includes singer Julie Murphy who was described by Time Out as ‘a must hear, must see singer’, her fans include music legends like Robert Plant and Danny Thompson, both of whom have recorded with her.

The evening has been put together because Small World Theatre and Cardigan Primary School have been working together to research and deliver an educational project on the local fishing industry.

Small world will be using the primary schools pupils’ research to create a teaching resource for coastal schools.

Tickets for the evening are £10 but for under 13s it will be free and bookings can be made on the theatres website www.smallworld.org.uk.
