Six local people concerned over the TTIP agreement turned out in Cardigan to raise awareness
On Saturday , August 22 the group spent a rainy day handing out leaflets about TTIP and inviting people to sign a petition.
They are concerned that a trade treaty being negotiated between the EU and US would give more power to multinational companies, threatening democratic process in the UK.
St Dogmael's resident Linda Joy coordinated the Cardigan action as part of a day of awareness raising, initiated by national campaign organisation 38 Degrees.
Linda said: "I don't usually take to the street like this but there's so much secrecy around this treaty which could threaten our public services, trading standards, health, animal welfare, environment and local businesses. We want people to know what's going on."
