CASH has been pledged to secure public toilets remain open in Cardigan.
Local organisation 4CG has offered to take over the running of toilets in Feidr Fair and Chancery Lane, which were threatened with closure.
The facilities were discussed at Tuesday’s town council meeting, following a request for help with funding.
Cllr John Adams-Lewis said: “They are asking the town council for funding in support of this valuable service.
“It’s good news for the town I think. They are willing to look after two of the toilets that we want to stay in the town.”
Cllr Gwynfi Jenkins added: “At the moment we are desperate to keep the toilets open.
"We have money set aside, hopefully 4CG will eventually be self sufficient. Councillors agreed to offer £8,000 in support of keeping the facilities in the town."
