MP Mark Williams has tabled a motion in Parliament congratulating volunteers of New Quay RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) for the essential service that they help to provide.

Mark tabled the motion after a number of longstanding volunteers were recognised for their service by Rear Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence in April of this year.

The motion congratulates Roger Davies who was made an Honorary Life Governor after 54 years of continuous service, welcomes the recognition of Trevor Evans who received a Bar to his long service award for 50 years of continuous service and welcomes the recognition of Rees Tom Jones who also received a Bar to his long service award for 40 years of continuous service.

Mark said: “I was very pleased to see such dedicated volunteers receive the recognition they deserve. The RNLI in New Quay has provided an invaluable service to Ceredigion for 152 years and has saved numerous lives. It is thanks to their volunteers that this is possible, and I wish them much success long into the future.”
