AN 11-MILE sponsored walk, organised by Julie John and Kelly Reynolds, was held to raise awareness and funds for MPS sufferers and the MPS Society.
Kelly’s daughter Alicia suffers from MPS type 1 which is a rare disease. Alicia, 11, has been a pupil at Penparc School and will be starting at Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi in September.
Over 40 walkers supported the event, including children, raising £1,868.
Julie said: “Thank you to all who donated, supported and walked. A special thank you to Robins Taxis for kindly donating the minibus, to Paul Davies for donating the diesel, to Paul Randerson for the stationery expenses and to Ysgol y Ferwig for use of the hall which all greatly helped make the day a big success.”
