Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi headteacher Nicola James has congratulated pupils on their 'outstanding' GCSE results across the board this year.

Across Ceredigion, 97.2% of entries for WJEC examinations were graded A*-G; 68.6% achieved A*-C grades and 24.8% of the entries achieved A*-A grades.

Headteacher, Nicola James, said “The pupils certainly rose to the challenge as GCSEs returned to full external examinations this year, the first time since the Covid pandemic.

"The pupils have shown great resilience and they thoroughly deserve their excellent results.

"Our focus as a school is on ensuring that we support all our pupils academically and emotionally, to maximise their progress across a broad range of subjects, and these results are testament to this ethos.

"Most of our pupils sat between 12 and 15 GCSEs or equivalent qualifications and we are proud of all their achievements, which are the result of their hard work and the guidance of our teaching and support staff who provide high quality teaching and pastoral care for all pupils.

"I congratulate everyone on their success, and I thank the entire school community as we celebrate these outstanding outcomes."
