THESE four defendants have had their cases heard at court recently.

The defendants face a range of charges, including being threatening or abusive, criminal damage, careless driving, failing to report a crash, drug driving, and possession of heroin. The offences were alleged to have taken place in Ceredigion.

Their cases were heard at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court and Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.

Here’s a round-up of the cases.

LAUREN CLARKE, 24, whose listed address is HMP Eastwood Park, is back in court accused of threatening or abusive behaviour and criminal damage.

Clarke appeared in Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on October 11.

She was accused of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress on Portland Street in Aberystwyth on April 3.

Clarke was also charged with criminal damage, after she was alleged to have damaged a £20 blanket at Aberystwyth Police Station on the same date.

No pleas were entered, and the case was adjourned until October 25.

FLORIN MOLDOVEANU, 42, of Brynawel Road in Gorseinon, Swansea, appeared at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court facing a series of offences relating to March 17.

Moldoveanu was charged with driving without due care and attention in a Citroen Relay van on College Street in Lampeter.

He is also accused of failing to stop after a crash and failing to report a crash. These related to an alleged incident on College Street after a Vauxhall Vivaro was damaged.

The defendant was also charged with failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver of the Citroen Relay van.

Moldoveanu pleaded guilty to careless driving on October 18 at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.

JAMIE LANGRIDGE, 36, of Church Street in Llandysul, refused to attend after he was called back before the court.

Langridge was charged with possession of 9.4 grams of diamorphine (heroin) in Aberystwyth on March 10.

The case at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court was adjourned on October 11 as Langridge refused to come out of his cell.

Langridge will be called back to court on October 25 to enter his plea.

AARUN GIBBONS, 22, of near Gorsgoch, has denied driving while high on cannabis.

Gibbons is alleged to have been driving a Volkswagen Polo on the B4334 between Brynhoffnant and Rhydlewis on April 2. The prosecution allege Gibbons was recorded as having 2.3 micrograms of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol per litre of blood (µg/L). The legal limit – to exclude accidental exposure – is 2µg/L.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to drug driving at Aberystwyth Magistrates’ Court on October 12. The case was adjourned, and will be heard in Llanelli on November 16.
