REPRESENTATIVES of a Lampeter company have been fined for failing to provide information.

Derrick Hughes & Co LTD of Cwmmarch Farm, Cilcennin, Lampeter, representatives were found guilty of failing to provide information by Cardiff Magistrates Court on January 5.

The company’s representatives committed the offence on July 21, when they failed to provide South Wales Police with information relating to the identity of the driver of a Volkswagen Panel Van which was believed to have been involved in an earlier offence.

The company was found guilty in the absence of representatives and ordered to pay £1,000 fine, £400 surcharge and £110 costs.

Also in court recently was Jason Peter White, 34, of Maesyrawel, Tregaron, who admitted speeding at Cardiff Magistrates Court on December 7.

He was caught on May 31 doing 57mph in an Audi S3 on the M4 eastbound at Port Talbot where the limit is 50mph.

He was given three points on his licence and ordered to pay £146 fine, £58.40 surcharge and £90 costs.
