Young people in Ceredigion had the chance to highlight important matters to them in the Senedd.

On February 12, they shared their views with Elin Jones MS at the Senedd, addressing issues including public transport, education, and vaping and autism diagnosis.

As part of their annual work programme, Ceredigion Youth Council arranges these meetings to help amplify the concerns and voices of young individuals in their area to decision-makers.

Ysgol Bro Teifi pupil Aeron Dafydd, the UK Youth Parliament Member for Ceredigion said: "It was a great opportunity to present and discuss key priority areas with Elin Jones at the Senedd recently.

" Several important topics were discussed and it was interesting to learn more about the work of the Welsh Assembly and what goes on at the Senedd.

"It’s vitally important that young people are given a platform to raise their voice."

Speaking on the initiative, Ms Jones said: "The discussion was broad and mature – ranging from transport, to education and specialised support for young people."

Ceredigion Youth Council continues to foster links between the young people, Welsh Assembly, and the UK Parliament to ensure the youth's opinions matter in the decisions affecting their lives.
