Not even the thunder and heavy showers could prevent members of the Tivyside Pony Club from hosting an extremely successful Pony Club camp at the property of Tracey and Anton Maczka of Capel Iwan. A huge thanks goes to the Maczka family for great hospitality and welcome. The three day camp attended by 11 members between the ages of 8 and 12 consisted of flat work, show jumping, gymkhana, stable management and a very enjoyable paddling evening with the Llandysul Paddlers. They also heated marshmallows over an open fire and took full responsibility for looking after their own ponies. On the final day, the members took part in a show and were awarded a fistful of rosettes and trophies for their efforts. The children were taught by local instructors Dawn Hodson and Hope Davies and helped by two older PC members, Ffion and Merlin. The camp was organised by PC District Commissioner, Julie Hodson.
