A player in the Cardigan & District Pool League has taken on star quality after breaking a local record of nearly three decades with exceptionally high standard cueing.

Chris Truslove of Lamb A set the scene alight with tremendous performances to become the first in the 27-year history of the league to achieve an 8-ball clearance in the singles and doubles in the same match.

After clearing up in his singles game the 27-year-old produced a sensational potting display as he sank all eight balls in the doubles.

Afterwards Lamb A skipper Mark Murtagh, a former north Lancashire champion, said “I’ve played competitive pool for more than 30 years and I’ve never seen anything like it. Chris was absolutely awesome.”
