Cardigan Town as the only Costcutter League club left in the Central Wales Cup is gearing up for a big task on January 3 when the Magpies make the long trek into Powys to take on Spar Mid Wales League Division Two village club Churchstoke.
Although Town are not making any plans beyond the third round game against a club from a higher league a win in mid Wales would see the local high-flyers rewarded with a home fourth round tie against Welshpool-based Waterloo Rovers of the Spar Mid Wales League Division One for a quarter-final spot.
