Budding Pembrokeshire triathletes will be able to get tips from the best next month.

For leisure centre worker - and full time Ironman - Oliver Simon will be talking about his gruelling experiences at a special event in Crymych next month.

One of the UK’s best long distance athletes, the 34 year-old from Tenby will discuss his training, kit and race preparation at a one-off event on March 25.

Oliver, who works as a duty officer at Tenby Leisure Centre, spends his spare time training for, and competing in, some of the most arduous sporting events in the world.

For an Ironman triathlon competitors have to swim 2.4 miles, cycle 112 miles before running a full 26.2 mile marathon!

With 12 years triathlon experience, Oliver has won the Welsh Triathlon, Sandman Triathlon and Pembrokeshire Coast Triathlon, as well as being three times winner of his home town’s Long Course event.

The ‘Evening with Oliver Simon’ takes place at Crymych Leisure Centre on Wednesday, March 25 , 7pm to 9pm.
