CARDIGAN Town face a demanding schedule in the run-in to the end of the season a week on Saturday as the high-flyers attempt to retain an unbeaten record in Division One of the Costcutter League and capture an incredible fifth trophy by winning the Bay Cup.

The Magpies host Lampeter Town tomorrow in a Bay Cup round two tie and if they progress will be at home against Bargod Rangers in a quarter-final tie this Saturday.

If Steve Blackford and colleagues are still in the competition next Wednesday they will be involved in a semi-final and could be in the final on Saturday, May 23.

On top of the cup commitments Town have to fit in an outstanding league game against Lampeter at King George V Playing Field.

With a number of regulars unavailable Cardigan could raise only a bare eleven for the league game at Felinfach on Saturday but despite having to come from behind the visitors prevailed 3-2 thanks to a couple of goals from teenage striker Louis Harding and the winner struck by Dylan Davies.

With Town firsts having stolen the limelight this season it’s the turn of the reserves on Friday when they host their Felinfach counterparts. Cardigan must get a point to secure the Reserves Cup (Division Three) championship.
