IN the words of the Prime Minister 'a swarm' of kids and adults descended on Poppit Sands as 10-year-old Iwan Lilley of Pembs Harriers once again led home 66 juniors in the last of this year’s Poppit Race series.
In the senior’s race, there was only one second between the winner Ryan Jenkins of Carmarthen Harriers and Matthew Chaston of Belgrave Harriers with John Collier coming in 3rd, but having the consolation of being the 2015 overall series winner.
A total of 114 runners took part in the seniors race on a lovely August evening.
If you’d like to join them next year, your preparation could start by going for a run on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm with Cardigan Running Club, who meet at Cardigan Leisure Centre each week, come rain or shine.
