RISING Cardigan darts star Jamie Lewis has qualified for the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) Partypoker.com World Grand Prix in the Republic of Ireland on Sunday.
The tournament at the CityWest Hotel Convention Centre in Dublin featuring the world’s top 32 players is a double start and double finish competition with Dutch star Michael van Gerwen going for a win hat-trick.
The legendary Phil Taylor has won the tournament ten times since its inception in 1998.
Lewis (23) is in first round action on Sunday when he meets 29-year-old William O’Conner from Cappamore in Ireland. The tournament which runs until the following Saturday, is on Sky Sports.
