Town lose Polish star
COSTCUTTER League champions Cardigan Town have been dealt a blow with the loss of versatile Slawomir Waleczeck.
The pacey 30-year-old, who also had a spell with neighbours St Dogmaels, winning Cwpan Ceredigion with Saints in season 2012-13, was equally at home at full back or on the wing.
He was an ever present in the Town squad including during the momentous campaign of 2014-15 when the Magpies plundered five trophies.
The hugely popular player has returned with his wife and two children to live in his native Poland.
A club spokesman said: "He was a great servant for the club and although we are sorry to lose his services I'm sure everyone connected with football locally will extend good wishes to him and his family for the future."
